The Village of Parisot
The village of Parisot is steeped in history with some buildings of historical interest, including 'Le chateau de l'Astorguie'. The chateau which is now privately owned was built around 1500. Parisot itself is a small and well loved village providing us with two good restaurants and a bar. 'La Maison cafe/bar, along with its warm welcome it also provides some good live music with its monthly 'jam night'. There are also two boulangeries in the village providing daily delicious croissants, bread and other tasty treats.
Parisot is also host to an annual Literary festival in October, along with an Arts festival in July. Both are exceptionally well attended and respected within their respective circles. There is also a good pharmacy and a medical centre should you need it.
Just 2 km away from the centre is 'Lac de Parisot' providing some water sports in a truly beautiful setting. There is also a very popular music festival in August which is great fun including a rather impressive fire work display.
A little bit about us.
We were both born in Beckenham,Kent and attended the same primary school.Nick left the UK aged 19 and spent the next 10 years living in Austria working as a Ski instructor during the winter, and a rafting guide in the summer months. Pippa remaind in the UK and had successful careers in both the beauty and dental industry whilst raising her son Henry.
Our paths reconnected again in 2006 and we were married in 2009.France very quickly became a regular choice for our travels, and it did not take long for us to dream about one day making it our home.
What followed was a good 5 years of research and planning. We would book holidays and short breaks whenever we could in between our busy work lives and schedules and visit France as often as possible. In 2015 we found ourselves in the beautiful medieval village of St Antonin Noble Val and we completely fell in love with The Tarn et Garonne department in South West France, and we decided that as far as a location was concerned our search was off. We visited as much as we possibly could and viewed probably about 12 houses in the area.We finally bought ‘Le Coutillard’ in February 2017 and it is to this day still perfect for us, providing a wonderful family home for ourselves and the ideal location for our guests to relax and unwind during their holidays. We would not change a thing !
Group Bookings
Over the past two years ‘Le Coutillard’ has become popular with our guests wishing to book the whole site. We are proud to say that we have had the privilege of helping our visitors celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other important occasions.
The benefit of booking exclusively means that family and friends can come together to socialize and celebrate, making the most of our 8 acres of private gardens, salt water swimming pool and outside kitchen, which can sit 16 comfortably. Our guests also appreciate the way our space naturally lends itself for them to take the opportunity to relax and unwind in their own accommodation for valuable downtime which is just one of the reasons why ‘Coutillard ’works so well for a group holiday.
