During our time here in France we have discovered that some of our guests have a desire to visit or revisit and to take part in other activities that complement their holiday and enhance their stay.
These guests have an appetite to be creative, inspired, educated, to gain knowledge and to learn new skills whilst soaking up the French ambience and having fun.
As a result of this in 2024 we launched Club Coutillard which hosts a series of residential weekends to do just that.
Club Coutillard is complimentary to join and our aim is to bring like-minded people together to our beautiful setting in South West France.
Currently, for 2025 we have two residential breaks planned.
An informative and fun Wine Tasting experience in September, and A Book Lovers Weekend taking place in October.
The Wine Tasting Experience will explore two of the oldest wine regions in France. Gaillac and Cahors.
The Book Lovers Weekend will incorporate the Parisot Literary Festival which has been running now for over 10 years and attracts international well-known authors.
As well as residential breaks, Club Coutillard offers a selection of day events held onsite at Le Coutillard.
To date, these have taken the format of a workshop in the morning, lunch, followed by a second workshop in the afternoon.
Other offers include team building activities.
All of these events have been hugely popular and have included yoga, relaxation, mindfulness, an introduction to water colour painting and a caricature class.We also hosted a soirée where we welcomed motivational speaker and coach Squash Fallconer.

As a Club Coutillard member you will also have the opportunity to liaise directly with us to put together bespoke and tailor made weekends of your choice incorporating an interest or passion of yours.
Over the last 8 years we have had the good fortune to have been introduced to an amazing array of talented, accomplished, skilled, proficient and enthusiastic people. We aim to aim to work closely together with these individuals to produce some exciting opportunities and possibilities for you.

The Wine Tasting Experience

A morning vineyard tour to Gaillac, one of the oldest wine regions in France followed by lunch. During the evening there will be a welcome dinner with local wine hosted by ourselves and our very own wine expert.

A day in Cahors the home of the beautiful Malbec! What a marvelous way to spend a Monday!
Here we will visit two of our favourite vineyards and enjoy lunch in the breath taking city of Cahors itself. The evening will be free to explore our local village or to relax at Coutillard and enjoy your peace in our private parkland. A supper will be provided for those whom want it.
Tuesday 30 th September 2025.
Market Day! Today we will visit a local market where the exciting 20 euro challenge will take place. We will then bring our food fare and wine treasures home to enjoy together and discuss our findings. The trip will conclude with an evening meal at Coutillard.

A day of relaxation awaits. The opportunity to unwind in our private parkland. In the aternoon we will joined by local author Catherine Finch whom will chat about her experiences and her books whilst we enjoy tea and cake
Saturday 11 th October 2025.
A book lovers dream of a day! We will spend it in the medieval village of Parisot which has been host to this literary festival for over 10 years. This festival has attracted some hugely respected names including Nicholas Padamsee who was named one of the Observer’s best new novalists in 2024. Sunjeev Sahota the Booker-nominated British novelist. Matthew Parker, Kate Mosse and Melanie Cantor.
It is also a place to discover new talent.
Festillitt is an extremely well put together event, seamless in its planning and organization and an unmissable opportunity to meet, greet and listen to the featured authors speak and to purchase signed copies of their books. With a full agenda there are welcome breaks for tea and cake along with a light lunch, it is a truly delightful way to spend a Saturday.
During the evening we will attend the Author’s Dinner bringing another opportunity to chat with the authors informally whilst enjoying a freshly prepared meal at a local venue.
Sunday 12 th October 2025.
We will spend the day meeting and listening to the remaining authors. The festival usually finishes late afternoon leaving time to relax at Coutillard before the weekend concludes with an evening meal.
